After months of speculation and leaks, the curtain has finally been lifted on Pokémon Champions, an eagerly anticipated multiplayer battle-centric Pokémon game. This exciting new title is a result of a collaboration between Game Freak and The Pokémon Works, a recent partnership between The Pokémon Company and ILCA, the developers behind Pokémon Brilliant Diamond/Shining Pearl.

Pokémon Champions is all about Pokémon battles, featuring the beloved "core-style battles" that fans have come to love. The game promises online battles where players can test their skills against one another. From the trailer, we've seen that it will include both Mega Evolution and Terastalization, showcasing a wide array of Pokémon battle types and eras.

PlayMoreover, *Pokémon Champions* will integrate with *Pokémon Home*, allowing players to transfer Pokémon from other games into *Pokémon Champions*. This feature will give fans a chance to use their extensive Pokémon collections from past generations, breathing new life into their beloved creatures.

Currently in development for both Nintendo Switch and mobile platforms, Pokémon Champions did not receive a specific release date. However, it will be available in Latin American Spanish at launch, alongside other languages previously seen in Pokémon games.

Pokémon Champions appears to be the same game that was previously known as Pokémon Synapse, which first surfaced during last year's "Freak Leak." This leak revealed a trove of internal Game Freak information, including details on unreleased games, meeting notes, and Pokémon designs. Initial reports suggested Pokémon Synapse was a multiplayer game, with some likening it to Splatoon, though this comparison now seems to have been slightly off the mark.
