Radical Fish Games Announces New Action RPG, Alabaster DawnStudio Will be at Gamescom this Year
Radical Fish Games, the studio behind the acclaimed action RPG CrossCode, officially revealed its next game: Alabaster Dawn. Previously known as "Project Terra," the game was recently announced in a post on the developer's site. Alabaster Dawn is slated to release on Steam Early Access in late 2025, according to the developer. While no exact release date has been confirmed, the game is now available for wishlisting on Steam.
Radical Fish Games also confirmed that they plan to release a public demo for Alabaster Dawn sometime in the future, with its Early Access launch expected in late 2025.
For those attending Gamescom this year, Radical Fish Games will be present at the event and offer select attendees a first hands-on look at Alabaster Dawn. The studio mentioned that there will be limited spots available to play, but "we’ll also be there at the booth for a chat from Wednesday to Friday, so there’s that, too!"
Alabaster Dawn's Combat Inspired by DMC and KH
Alabaster Dawn is set in Tiran Sol, a world in ruin and devastated by the goddess Nyx, which has turned the world into a wasteland and caused the other gods and people to vanish. You play as Juno, the Outcast Chosen, to awaken the remnants of humanity and lift Nyx's curse from the world.
The game is expected to pack in around 30-60 hours of gameplay, featuring seven regions to explore. Players will focus on rebuilding settlements, establishing trade routes, and more, all while engaging in fast-paced combat inspired by games like Devil May Cry, Kingdom Hearts, and the studio's own CrossCode. Choose from eight unique weapons, each boasting its own skill tree. Other gameplay features include parkour, puzzles, enchantments, and cooking.
The studio proudly shared to fans that the game has reached a significant milestone, with the first 1-2 hours of gameplay being nearly fully playable at its current development phase. "It may not sound like much, but getting to that point is a big milestone for us," the developers shared.
