Corden assures fans that development is further along than publicly perceived, although specifics remain undisclosed. This news may disappoint some, yet it's a more positive outlook than previous predictions pointing to a 2027 release.

June's trailer offered a glimpse of the game's Mad Max-inspired post-apocalyptic setting, featuring intense zombie shootouts and vehicular combat. The narrative unfolds years after the apocalypse, focusing on human survivors establishing fortified settlements to combat the undead threat.

State of Decay 3 is slated for release on PC and Xbox Series consoles. The previous installment launched in 2018.
