Destiny Child is making a comeback. The game was first released in 2016 and was turned into a ‘memorial’ in September 2023. Now, Com2uS has taken the reins from ShiftUp to bring the game back to full life.Is it Going to be the Same Game?Com2uS has signed a contract with ShiftUp to develop a new Destiny Child game. This one’s going to be an idle RPG. Com2uS’s subsidiary, Tiki Taka Studio, will be leading the charge on development. They’ve worked on games like Arcana Tactics, a tactical RPG.With the comeback, Destiny Child is going to be reimagined from a different view. Capturing the emotion of the original game and the pretty 2D characters, Com2uS will have a new set of mechanics in the new game.Have You Tried Out the Memorial?Destiny Child made waves when it launched with its adorable characters and real-time battles. After nearly seven years, the game officially shut down. But ShiftUp rolled out a Memorial version of the app, letting players experience the game.Although the Memorial version isn’t the full game, it does let you revisit all the gorgeous character illustrations and gaze at your Childs’ with fond memories. The version requires a verification code based on your previous game data. So, only players who had their accounts before the shutdown can access it.The memorial version offers a bit of a walk down memory lane, keeping the Childs and their classes alive, even if you can’t take them into battle anymore. So, if you have access, boot it up, and enjoy the illustrations. Grab it from the Google Play Store, at least till the new game comes out.And that wraps up our story on the comeback of Destiny Child.
