Home > News > Genshin Impact: How To Collect The Burning Firestones (The Flowing Primal Flame Quest)
In Genshin Impact, after assisting Bona in purifying the Abyssal Corruption from the Chu'ulel Light Core, players must help her locate the Primal of Flame. This involves presenting two Pyrophosphorites (obtained during the Palace of the Vision Serpent Quest) to the Altar of Primal of Flame. This offering unlocks access to Tonatiuh, a floating island above Ochkanatlan’s Cradle of Fleeting Dreams. Reaching Tonatiuh completes the To the Sky-Road Quest and begins The Other Side of the Sky Quest, requiring the collection of four Burning Firestones to acquire the Jade of Return.
Acquiring the Four Burning Firestones:
Burning Firestone #1:
The first Firestone is obtained automatically during a cutscene with Bona and the Little One. Follow the Little One across a raised bridge.
Burning Firestone #2:
This Firestone is located on the northeastern isle. Players must manipulate floating island mechanisms to extend bridges, raise lifts, and overcome obstacles, including combat encounters, to reach it. Several chests (Common and Exquisite) are also available along the way.
Burning Firestone #3:
The third Firestone requires manipulating island mechanisms again, following the Little One, and utilizing a Qucusaurus to reach a previously inaccessible area. The Firestone is initially taken by a Secret Source Sentinel, requiring players to pursue it.
Burning Firestone #4:
The final Firestone is situated on the northwestern isle’s upper level. Players need to use Bona's assistance to bridge the gap, overcome a combat encounter, and follow the Little One back to the Altar. A Precious chest awaits.
Upon offering all four Burning Firestones to the Altar, the Flowing Primal Flame Quest concludes, transforming the Jade of Return into a Golden Entreaty. This triggers the appearance of the Dragon of the City of Flowing Ash, leading players to the Nursery of Nightmares island to complete The Other Side of the Sky Quest and receive 50 Primogems.
