On January 5th, 2025, YouTuber Doctre81 highlighted a developer's resume listing Gotham Knights for two unannounced platforms. This developer, employed by QLOC from 2018-2023, also cited work on titles like Mortal Kombat 11 and Tales of Vesperia. The intriguing detail? Gotham Knights is listed alongside an unannounced platform, strongly hinting at the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2.

While the game was previously rated by the ESRB for the original Switch – suggesting a potential, but ultimately unrealized, port – performance issues on the PS5 and Xbox Series X|S may have hindered its release. The listing on a second unannounced platform, however, points towards a possible Switch 2 launch.
