HoYoverse's mobile hit, Zenless Zone Zero, continues its impressive market performance. The recent 1.4 update, titled "And the Starfall Came," propelled the game to a record-breaking $8.6 million in daily mobile player spending, surpassing even its launch day revenue in July 2024.
According to AppMagic, Zenless Zone Zero's total mobile revenue has already exceeded $265 million. Update 1.4's success is attributed to the introduction of new characters, Hoshimi Miyabi and Asaba Harumasa, alongside enhanced gameplay mechanics, new environments, and game modes.
While Harumasa was offered as a free promotional character, the gacha banner featuring Hoshimi Miyabi significantly contributed to the game's record revenue.
The 1.4 update demonstrated HoYoverse's ability to maintain player engagement far beyond typical update cycles. Unlike the usual post-update spending decline, daily revenue remained above $1 million for over 11 consecutive days, and even surpassed $500,000 after two weeks.
Although highly successful, Zenless Zone Zero still lags behind HoYoverse's flagship titles, Genshin Impact and Honkai: Star Rail.
