Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy's Precursor Basin: A Zoomer Driving Challenge
Following Fire Canyon's intense Zoomer level, Precursor Basin offers a seemingly less perilous, yet arguably more challenging, vehicle-based experience in Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy. This guide will navigate you through each objective, helping you master the Zoomer and conquer Precursor Basin's tricky tasks.
Herd the Moles
Begin by herding four moles back to their burrows using the Zoomer. Utilize the Zoomer's hop for sharp turns to keep pace with the fleeing moles. Reward: A Power Cell from the Geologist in Rock Village.
Catch the Flying Lurkers
Chase and ram the Flying Lurkers in this area. Strategically cut them off at turns to maximize your chances of a successful collision. The final Lurker drops another Power Cell.
Beat the Gorge Record Time (45 seconds)
This race challenges you to navigate a short but demanding course. Key strategies include:
Reward: A Power Cell from the Gambler in Rock Village. Beat 40 seconds for a trophy!
Retrieve the Lake Power Cell
Starting from the slope used during the Lurker chase, navigate a series of narrow bridges and jumps to reach the Power Cell floating over the lake. Precise timing and skillful Zoomer control are crucial for this sequence. Refer to the in-game images for visual guidance.
Cure the Dark Eco Infected Plants
Use Green Eco to charge the Zoomer and drive through the purple plants to cure them. Speed and efficient turns are key to completing this before the plants regrow. Use the Green Eco Vent to replenish your supply.
Navigate the Purple Precursor Rings
This time trial requires you to pass through a series of appearing rings before time runs out. Focus on the trickier parts:
Reward: A Power Cell.
Navigate the Blue Precursor Rings
The Blue Precursor Rings present a significantly tougher challenge. Critical points include:
Reward: A Power Cell.
Free the Seven Scout Flies
Collect all seven Scout Flies scattered throughout Precursor Basin for a final Power Cell. The map images provide visual locations for each Scout Fly.
By completing these challenges, you'll not only gain valuable Power Cells but also achieve a true mastery of the Zoomer in Precursor Basin.
