Letterlike: New Word Game Blends Balatro and Scrabble

Wordsmiths, get ready for a new word game challenge! Letterlike, a roguelike word game from the developers, blends the best of Balatro and Scrabble. Imagine the thrill of vocabulary building with the unpredictable twists of a roguelike – it's a unique combination!

Crafting Words in Letterlike

Letterlike's roguelike nature means each playthrough offers a fresh set of letters and procedurally generated challenges, leading to endless replayability and potential victories.

Each game starts with a letter set. Your mission: create meaningful words, score points, and conquer levels. Each level consists of three rounds.

To progress, you must accumulate enough points by forming high-scoring words, similar to Scrabble. However, you only have five attempts (lives) per round, so choose your words carefully!

Facing a less-than-ideal letter combination? Don't fret! You can discard letters, but discards are limited, demanding strategic choices.

A handy rearrange mode allows you to drag, drop, and shuffle letters to optimize your word creation.

Letterlike's final round introduces a unique challenge: certain letters become worthless, yielding zero points.

Earned points and rewards unlock power-ups to enhance future games. Some buffs are automatically applied, while others require reaching specific levels. Collected gems also unlock powerful upgrades, making subsequent runs easier.

Ready to Play?

Letterlike offers a simple, minimalist, yet engaging experience. The shared seed feature lets you replay specific runs with friends, sharing the joy (or agony!) of particularly challenging letter combinations.

The game is ad-free with a one-time purchase and playable offline. A free demo is available, so try it out on the Google Play Store before committing.
