Marvel Rivals Unveils "The Maker": A New Mister Fantastic Skin

Get ready, Marvel Rivals fans! A new skin for Mister Fantastic, dubbed "The Maker," has been revealed, launching alongside the character himself on January 10th with Season 1. This exciting update also includes a fresh game mode, new maps, and a host of other additions.

The Maker skin showcases an alternate, villainous Reed Richards from the Ultimate universe. His appearance reflects a darker turn, featuring a mask concealing most of his face – a consequence of a brutal encounter with the Human Torch. This isn't the only villainous makeover; Invisible Woman will also receive a nefarious skin, Malice.

The official Marvel Rivals Twitter account confirmed The Maker skin, boasting a sleek black and gray design accented by a glowing blue circle on the chest and back. A slate-colored mask with a blue visor completes the menacing look. Gameplay footage highlights the suit's dynamic properties, stretching and adapting as Mister Fantastic utilizes his abilities.

Marvel Rivals' Expanding Cosmetic Collection

While NetEase Games consistently unveils new skins, data miners have unearthed even more unreleased cosmetics. A Lunar New Year skin for Spider-Man is among the leaked content, anticipated for release soon. Further leaks suggest upcoming cosmetics for Hulk, Scarlet Witch, and Doctor Strange. While release dates remain unconfirmed, many hope to see these skins included in the Season 1 battle pass.

Season 1: Eternal Night Falls – A Darkness Descends

With Season 1's imminent arrival, NetEase Games has been busy revealing upcoming changes. A key addition is "Doom Match," a chaotic 8-12 player free-for-all where the top 50% emerge victorious. The developer's commitment to balancing the diverse roster is evident in planned buffs and nerfs for various characters. The community eagerly anticipates the new maps, including a dark, dystopian version of New York City. The anticipation for Season 1: Eternal Night Falls is palpable, promising a substantial content update.
