Capcom extends the Monster Hunter Wilds beta following a PlayStation Network outage. The outage, lasting approximately 24 hours on February 7th, prevented online gameplay. In response to the widespread disruption, Sony compensated PlayStation Plus subscribers with five extra days of service.
The Monster Hunter Wilds beta, particularly its popular second session scheduled for February 6th-9th, was significantly impacted. To compensate for the lost playtime, Capcom has announced a 24-hour extension to the next beta session.
The revised beta dates are:
February 13th, 7 PM PT / February 14th, 3 AM GMT – February 17th, 6:59 PM PT / February 18th, 2:59 AM GMT
Capcom confirmed that participation bonuses, redeemable in the full game, remain available during this extended period.
Despite the network issues, beta testers had the opportunity to engage with Arkveld, a formidable new monster introduced in Monster Hunter Wilds.
Monster Hunter Wilds is set for official release on February 28th, 2025, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
