Understanding how these factors impact your hunting expeditions is crucial. Here's a comprehensive guide to the seasons and weather in *Monster Hunter Wilds*.

Monster Hunter Wilds Seasons, Explained

Monster Hunter Wilds Seasons, Explained

In *Monster Hunter Wilds*, the Forbidden Lands experience two distinct seasons: Fallow and Plenty. The game begins in the Fallow season, characterized by harsh conditions and intense weather events. During Fallow, resources are scarce, making survival challenging. This scarcity leads to increased aggression among monsters, who are more likely to attack each other, adding an extra layer of difficulty to your hunts.

In contrast, the Season of Plenty offers a more favorable environment. With warmer weather and an abundance of flora, the landscape becomes vibrant and colorful. Small monsters are less hostile and less likely to travel in packs, easing the pressure on hunters. Additionally, Endemic Life and various plants are more plentiful during Plenty, making it an ideal time for gathering resources. This season is celebrated by both the villagers of the Forbidden Lands and *Monster Hunter Wilds* players alike.

Between these seasons, brief but intense weather events known as Inclemency occur. These events heighten the weather's intensity and often set the stage for dramatic battles with Apex Predators. For instance, the Pinnacle of the Pack Assignment challenges hunters to face the Alpha Doshaguma during Sandtide, a fierce sandstorm accompanied by lightning. Throughout *Monster Hunter Wilds*, you'll encounter various unique weather events during these crucial battles.

Given the significant impact of seasons on the flora and fauna of the Forbidden Lands, you may find it advantageous to switch between Fallow and Plenty depending on your hunting goals. Fortunately, *Monster Hunter Wilds* allows you to change the season and weather.

To do this, you'll need to pitch your tent and rest. Once inside your tent, navigate to the BBQ Menu and scroll down to the Rest option. Here, you can adjust the Environment and Time settings to wake up in a different season or weather condition.
