Netflix has announced that Squid Game Season 3 will premiere on June 27, 2025. Accompanying the announcement are a new poster and images offering a glimpse into the fate of the surviving players.
The new season picks up where Season 2 concluded, focusing on Gi-hun's (Lee Jung-jae) agonizing choices amidst overwhelming despair. Simultaneously, the Front Man (Lee Byung-hun) plans his next move, leading the surviving players into increasingly perilous situations with each deadly game. Netflix promises heightened suspense and drama.
Squid Game Season 2 achieved phenomenal success, becoming the third most-watched season on Netflix ever, with 68 million views upon its debut. It broke records for premiere-week viewership and topped the Top 10 TV Series (Non-English) list in 92 countries.
Season 2 concluded with a cliffhanger perfectly setting the stage for Season 3. While the episode count for Season 3 remains unconfirmed, Season 2's seven episodes were released on December 26, 2024.
