Netflix Is Dropping The Electric State: Kid Cosmo, a Prequel Game to the Upcoming Movie

Netflix is launching a retro-futuristic puzzle game, The Electric State: Kid Cosmo, to coincide with the release of its upcoming sci-fi adventure film, The Electric State. Launching March 18th, just days after the film's March 14th debut, the game offers a unique prequel experience.

Directed by the Russo brothers and starring Millie Bobby Brown and Chris Pratt, The Electric State depicts a post-apocalyptic road trip across an alternate 1990s America, filled with giant robots.

More Than Just a Movie Tie-in

The Electric State: Kid Cosmo isn't a simple adaptation; it's a prequel exploring the childhoods of key characters Chris and Michelle through a game-within-a-game format. Developed by BUCK Games (creators of the popular Steam game Let's! Revolution!) in collaboration with AGBO, the game promises engaging gameplay.

Expect a WarioWare-esque series of puzzle adventures with a distinct 1980s vibe. Set in Wichita, Kansas, in 1985, the narrative unfolds over five years, enriching the backstory of Chris and Michelle's journey before the film's events. Players will collect modules, repair Kid Cosmo's ship, and solve puzzles to uncover the mysteries of this strange world.
