Pause Game During Quests and Hunts

Pausing your solo Monster Hunter Wilds adventure is easy. Simply bring up the in-game menu using the Options button, then use L1 or R1 to navigate to the Systems tab. Select "Pause Game" with the X button. This fully pauses the game, even during hunts or combat. Resume your hunt by pressing the Circle button or R3. This handy feature ensures you can seamlessly handle real-world interruptions without penalty.

Multiplayer Pausing?

Unfortunately, pausing isn't an option in multiplayer hunts. If you're in a lobby or party with others, the game remains active.
