Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii Content Update Announced

While we're all still anticipating news on the Nintendo Switch 2, today's spotlight shines on a fan-favorite franchise. Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio recently unveiled a gameplay presentation for Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth, showcasing its Hawaiian pirate adventure and revealing key details.

The showcased footage highlighted extensive ship customization, open-world sea exploration, thrilling naval battles, engaging mini-games, and diverse explorable locations. Goro Majima will boast two distinct combat styles: a lightning-fast, agile approach and a more brutal style utilizing short swords and pirate weaponry.

Players can assemble a unique crew of allies, each contributing to battles, exploration, and treasure hunts. The gameplay promises the discovery of hidden islands and engaging original side quests.

A significant announcement came at the presentation's close: the highly anticipated "New Game+" mode will be a free post-launch addition via a patch! This is a welcome change from Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth, where this mode was initially exclusive to the premium edition, drawing criticism from SEGA. This positive development means we only have around six weeks until the game's official launch.
