Elden Ring Nightreign Network Test Sign-Ups Begin January 10th
The first network test for Elden Ring Nightreign, FromSoftware and Bandai Namco's upcoming co-op Soulsborne title, opens for registration on January 10th, 2025. This initial beta, however, will be exclusive to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S consoles.
Announced at The Game Awards 2024, Elden Ring Nightreign is slated for a 2025 release and focuses on three-player cooperative gameplay within the Lands Between. The network test, a standard precursor to online game launches, will provide a limited number of players a chance to experience the game's online functionality. The exact number of participants has not been revealed.
How to Register for the Elden Ring Nightreign Network Test:
Platform Limitations and Other Details:
This initial beta's exclusion of PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC platforms is notable, representing less than half of the game's intended launch platforms. Cross-platform play is not supported, meaning players will only be matched with others on the same console. Progress made during the test is unlikely to transfer to the final game. Further beta tests are possible, though unconfirmed.
Elden Ring Nightreign's online features are further defined by its three-player party limit; two-player parties are not supported. Whether the network test will include additional gameplay restrictions remains to be seen. Specific dates for the beta will be released in the coming weeks.
