Pokémon Go is wrapping up the year in style with the New Year’s 2025 event

Pokémon GO's New Year's celebration returns! Get ready for festive fun from December 30th to January 1st, 2025!

This year's event boasts themed bonuses, special Pokémon encounters, and exciting ways to ring in the new year. Following the December 21st-22nd Community Day event (featuring returning Community Day Pokémon), prepare for a week of New Year's festivities.

Event Highlights:

• XP Boost: Catch Pokémon with Excellent Throws to earn a whopping 2,025 XP each!
• Festive Atmosphere: Immerse yourself in the celebratory spirit with New Year's decorations and fireworks.
• Themed Pokémon: Encounter Jigglypuff (with a ribbon), Hoothoot (in a New Year's outfit), and Wurmple (sporting a party hat) more often – and keep an eye out for their Shiny forms!

• Raids: Enjoy boosted raid encounters! One-star raids feature a snowflake-hatted Pikachu, while three-star raids bring party-hat-wearing Raticate and Wobbuffet. Shiny rates are increased for all three.
• Research Tasks: Complete Field Research and Timed Research for extra encounters and rewards. A paid Timed Research ($2) offers exclusive rewards including Premium Battle Passes, Lucky Eggs, Stardust, and event Pokémon encounters.
