Niantic has just kicked off the exciting Wayfarer Challenge in Pokémon Go, offering trainers in Chile and India a unique opportunity to actively shape their gaming environment while reaping exclusive rewards. By engaging with the Niantic Wayfarer platform, you can review and approve Wayspot nominations, which could lead to the addition of new PokéStops and Gyms in Pokémon Go. This not only enriches the game for everyone but also allows you to earn special rewards as you hit milestone targets.

The Wayfarer Challenge is scheduled to run from March 7th to 9th in Chile, and from March 10th to 12th in India. During these dates, you have the chance to nominate real-world locations, like landmarks, sculptures, and street art, to be transformed into PokéStops and Gyms. Contributing to this initiative by reviewing nominations helps reach community milestones. If the community manages to resolve 5,000 nominations, all participants will be rewarded with 20 Ultra Balls, a Star Piece, an Incense, and a Poffin. Push the milestone up to 10,000 approvals, and the rewards escalate to 25 Ultra Balls, two Star Pieces, two Incense, two Poffins, and a Lucky Egg.

To participate in the Wayfarer Challenge, you must be at least level 37 in Pokémon Go and have a Niantic Wayfarer account. If you're new to the platform, you'll need to go through the Wayfarer Orientation before you can start reviewing nominations. Additionally, you need to have played in Chile or India recently or set your Wayfarer Hometown or Bonus Location to one of these countries. To be eligible for the rewards, you must review at least 50 nominations, and the community must achieve at least one of the set milestones.

Running concurrently with the Wayfarer Challenge, the PokéStop Challenge will be active from March 9th to 12th, exclusively in Chile and India. As you explore the newly added PokéStops, you'll earn 3x XP for your first visits, 3x Stardust from opening Gifts, and encounter more Kecleon. The event also includes Field Research tasks that offer encounters with Eevee, and Timed Research that gives you the chance to catch other Pokémon.
