Pokémon GO has announced a new Tour Pass launching February 24th, adding to the excitement of the Pokémon GO Tour: Unova event. This event features Gen 5-themed wild encounters, raids, and egg spawns.
The annual Pokémon GO Tour, timed around Pokémon Day, celebrates a different region each year. Previous Tours featured Kanto (2021), introducing nine previously unavailable Shiny Pokémon, and Sinnoh (2024), adding special Pikachu variants and Dialga & Palkia Origin Forme.
This year's Unova Tour Pass, available from February 24th, 10 AM to March 2nd, 6 PM local time, offers a free version. Players earn Tour Points by completing daily tasks, catching Pokémon, raiding, and hatching eggs. Progress unlocks rewards like Candy and Stickers, culminating in a special Zorua encounter. All rewards expire March 9th, 6 PM.
Alongside the free Pass, a $14.99 deluxe version (available on the Pokémon GO Webstore from February 24th, 10 AM to March 2nd, 6 PM) offers all free and paid rewards, a Victini encounter, and a new Lucky Trinket. This single-use item guarantees a Lucky Trade with a chosen friend, resetting afterward. A $19.99 variant with 10 pre-unlocked ranks will also be available. Deluxe Pass rewards, including the Lucky Trinket, expire March 9th, 6 PM.
The Unova Tour Pass enhances the upcoming event, which includes the debut of Kyurem (Black and White forms) via fusion, similar to Necrozma in last year's Tour. Shiny Meloetta will also debut via ticketed Masterwork Research.
