Following the recent Shiny Rayquaza Tera Raid event, which concluded 2024's Year of the Dragon, this new event offers players a chance to catch these snake-type Pokémon in abundance. The increased Shiny encounter odds make this a valuable opportunity for trainers seeking these rare variations.

Event Details:

The event began on January 9th and ends on January 12th. Locations for the outbreaks are:

• Silicobra: Across all land areas of Paldea.
• Ekans: Kitakami region.
• Seviper: Terarium.

Pokémon levels range from 10 to 65, scaling with player progress in the main storyline. Accessing the event requires an internet connection; players must go to the Poke Portal in the in-game menu and select "Get Poke Portal News."

Shiny Hunting:

The Shiny rate for Silicobra, Ekans, and Seviper is boosted by 0.5% before any additional multipliers are applied. Using Shiny Sandwiches can further increase your chances. Sandwich recipes include:

• Ekans & Seviper: Salty or Spicy Herba Mystica, Green Bell Pepper.
• Silicobra: Ham instead of a pepper.
