Pokemon Go Unova Tour Features Black and White Kyurem

Get ready for the Pokémon GO Tour: Unova! Black and White Kyurem, along with Shiny Meloetta, are making their Pokémon GO debut. This guide details how to obtain and fuse these legendary Pokémon.

Kyurem's Dual Forms Arrive

Following the December 2024 announcement, Niantic revealed the exciting addition of Black Kyurem, White Kyurem, and Shiny Meloetta to the February 2025 Unova Tour. From February 21st to 23rd, 2025, attendees in New Taipei City, Taiwan, and Los Angeles, USA, can participate in five-star raids to capture Kyurem and then fuse it.

Kyurem Fusion:

To fuse Kyurem, you'll need:

• Black Kyurem: 1,000 Volt Fusion Energy, 30 Kyurem Candy, and 30 Zekrom Candy (learns Freeze Shock)
• White Kyurem: 1,000 Blaze Fusion Energy, 30 Kyurem Candy, and 30 Reshiram Candy (learns Ice Burn)

Fusion Energy is earned by defeating Black or White Kyurem in raids. Reversion to the base form is free. Increased Shiny rates for Kyurem, Reshiram, and Zekrom are also in effect during the event.

A global event, Pokémon GO Tour: Unova - Global, runs March 1st-2nd, 2025, offering free access to these opportunities for all players.

Meloetta's Shiny Debut

Shiny Meloetta makes its Pokémon GO debut! In-person event ticket holders can complete a Masterwork Research to encounter this Pokémon. The research doesn't expire, allowing flexible completion.

Unova's Legendary Trio and Beyond

Kyurem, Reshiram, Zekrom, and Meloetta originally appeared in Pokémon Black and White. Kyurem's alternate forms, with their signature Ice Burn and Freeze Shock moves, were introduced in Pokémon Black and White 2. This Unova Tour brings a complete Unova legendary experience to Pokémon GO.
