The Pokémon Company addresses ongoing shortages of its highly anticipated Scarlet and Violet — Prismatic Evolutions expansion, assuring fans that reprints are underway.

In a recent statement, the company acknowledged widespread global shortages of the expansion, initially released in January 2025. This marks the first official recognition of the supply issues impacting fans' ability to purchase the product. The statement emphasized the company's commitment to addressing the problem, stating that reprints are currently in production and will soon be distributed to licensed vendors. While no specific date was given for increased availability, the Pokémon Company assured fans that they are working at maximum capacity to resolve the situation. The statement attributed the shortages to "high demand," avoiding direct mention of scalping as a contributing factor.

Beyond reprints, the Pokémon Company confirmed the upcoming release of additional Prismatic Evolutions products. These include:

  • A Mini Tin and Surprise Box (February 7th)
  • A Booster Bundle (March 7th)
  • An Accessory Pouch Special Collection (April 25th)
  • A Super-Premium Collection (May 16th)
  • A Premium Figure Collection (September 26th)

Furthermore, players of the Pokémon TCG Live mobile game can obtain Prismatic Evolutions cards starting January 16th through the Battle Pass. The company expressed gratitude for fans' patience and reiterated its dedication to ensuring broader availability of the popular expansion.
