Beloved Bethesda voice actor Wes Johnson, known for his roles in Skyrim, Fallout 3, Starfield, and numerous other titles, has shared a moving update on his recovery after a near-fatal incident. Found "barely alive" in his hotel room last week, Johnson's journey back to health has been aided by an outpouring of support.

A video posted on his GoFundMe page, which has already raised an impressive $174,653 for medical expenses, reveals Johnson was in a coma. In the video, he expresses his profound gratitude for the overwhelming love he's received: "I found out there's a lot of love in this world that I didn't know was out there, and I'm grateful to each and every one of you."

Johnson, also a Washington Capitals announcer, was in Atlanta for a National Alzheimer's Foundation benefit when the incident occurred. His absence from the event prompted his wife, Kim Johnson, to contact the hotel. Security personnel and EMTs found him with a barely detectable pulse.

"Rumors of my demise were not exaggerated," Johnson admits in the video. "It was very close. But I'm still here because my wife called the hotel, and my son contacted security. They found me nearly dead."

He recounts his five-day coma and expresses gratitude to numerous individuals and organizations, including the National Alzheimer's Association for supporting his family, Ted Leonsis (Washington Capitals parent company chairman) for a substantial donation, and his friends Bill Glasser and Shari Elliker for establishing the GoFundMe. He also extends heartfelt thanks to Bethesda for their public show of support. "You say I'm your friend. I am, and always will be. Love you guys," he stated. Finally, he thanks his fans for their donations and unwavering support. "I love you all. I'm not going anywhere," he assures them.

"It's going to be a while before I'm back, but I'm coming back. I look forward to seeing and hearing from you all then. Cheers."

Johnson's extensive voice acting career encompasses film, television, and video games, with a significant portion dedicated to Bethesda titles. His recent work includes Ron Hope in Starfield, alongside memorable roles in Oblivion, Morrowind, Fallout 3, Fallout 4, and Skyrim.
