Unlocking Astro Bot's Lost Galaxy: A Comprehensive Guide to Finding All 10 Hidden Portals

Astro Bot Rescue Mission offers players a vast array of explorable worlds. Beyond the main game, however, lies a secret area: the Lost Galaxy. Access to this hidden realm is granted only by discovering ten cleverly concealed portals scattered throughout the game's levels. This guide details the location and method for finding each portal.

Note: Levels containing a hidden portal are indicated by a unique swirling icon on the level select screen.

Portal #1: Az-Tech Trail

Mid-level, locate a dark chamber with four lit torches surrounding a wall. Utilize the Twin-Frog Gloves to extinguish all four flames. This action will reveal the hidden portal.

Portal #2: Creamy Canyon

Early in the level, a snowy arena features a bouncing ladybug enemy. Proceed past it to encounter a charging pig. Grab the pig, swing it towards the icy statue, and release it to shatter the statue. Backtrack, navigate past the ladybug, and bounce to a higher platform. Execute a charged spin attack to uncover a room containing the portal.

Portal #3: Go-Go Archipelago

After defeating Captain Pincher, locate his claw embedded in the ground. A glowing light indicates the spot for a charged spin attack. Drill into the ground to unveil a hidden chamber containing the portal and treasure.

Portal #4: Downsize Surprise

Near the level's end, find a bubble-blowing frog. Blow into your controller to initiate bubble production. Shrink your size and ride a bubble to a branch above a bot (you might need to switch bubbles). From there, reach the opposite branch to find the portal.

Portal #5: Free Big Brother!

This portal is easily accessible. At the level's start, turn around to find platforms with an electric enemy. Lure the enemy to electrocute the platforms, revealing a hidden wall and the portal.

Portal #6: Bathhouse Battle

Find the house with a flaming chimney. After absorbing water, climb to the roof and extinguish the flames. Descend the chimney to discover a room containing the portal.

Portal #7: Hieiroglitch Pyramid

At the level's conclusion, turn right to an area with falling jewels. A bounce pad leads to a hidden area. Activate a trap and locate two hidden switches to open the pathway to the portal.

Portal #8: Balloon Breeze

This is the most challenging portal. Obtain the pufferfish power-up and backtrack to an area with a distant platform and a bouncing ladybug. Launch the ladybug towards the platform, activate the pufferfish, and use Astro's hover to reach the platform. Use motion controls to clear bamboo surrounding the portal, then activate it by circling its perimeter.

Portal #9: Djinny of the Lamp

After defeating Djinny, climb the ruins. Invisible platforms are indicated by glowing ground. Hover to each platform, then use the rug to reach the final platform holding the portal.

Portal #10: Frozen Meal

Before the boss fight, roll a snowball into a large ball and use it as a platform to reach the cliff area and the final portal.
