Bypass those lengthy cutscenes in Monster Hunter Wilds! While the game boasts a surprisingly engaging storyline and characters, some players just want to hunt. Here's how to skip the cinematics and get straight to the action.
To skip cutscenes, simply hold down the Y key on a keyboard, or the back button on your controller. Hold it for a second or so. If you're using a less common control scheme, briefly press a few buttons during a cutscene; the required input will be displayed in the top-right corner.
Need a closer look? You can pause cutscenes at any time. However, since many Wilds cutscenes are integral to the narrative, skipping them is best reserved for subsequent playthroughs.
Want to revisit a cutscene? Access your in-game menu to rewatch them at your leisure. This allows you to appreciate the story elements, particularly the impressive monster introductions, at your own pace – perfect for capturing screenshots of your favorite behemoths.
