Street Fighter 6: Top-Tier Character Popularity

The Capcom Pro Tour has concluded, revealing the 48 competitors set to clash in Capcom Cup XI. While the world's best players are undoubtedly exciting, let's shift our focus to their character choices, offering a glimpse into Street Fighter 6's competitive landscape.

Following the World Warrior circuit's conclusion, EventHubs compiled statistics on the most popular characters among top-tier players. This data provides a valuable insight into the game's balance. Remarkably, all 24 fighters saw representation, though from nearly 200 players (including eight regional finalists from 24 regions), only one chose Ryu. Even Terry Bogard, the newest addition, only garnered two players.

Dominating the professional scene are Cammy, Ken, and M. Bison, each favored by 17 players. A significant gap separates this top tier from the next, which includes Akuma (12 players), Ed and Luke (11 each), and JP and Chun-Li (10 each). Among the less frequently selected characters, Zangief, Guile, and Juri stand out, each chosen as a main by seven players.

Capcom Cup XI will take place this March in Tokyo, with the champion earning a million-dollar prize.
