Game of Thrones: Kingsroad is launching its first closed beta on Android and PC! Netmarble's new action-adventure game transports players to Westeros. Sign-ups are open now, with the beta kicking off January 15th!
Netmarble's Game of Thrones: Kingsroad, based on George R.R. Martin's books and the HBO series, will hold a closed beta from January 15th to the 22nd in the US, Canada, and select European regions. Android applications are now being accepted!
Unlike previous Game of Thrones mobile games, which focused on strategy, Kingsroad offers a single-character experience. Players become the heir to the lesser-known House Tyrell, embarking on a journey across Westeros, battling enemies, and gaining renown.
The trailer showcases a Witcher-esque third-person perspective with exploration and combat. Players can choose from three classes: Sellsword, Knight, and Assassin. While visually impressive, the ultimate test will be gameplay.
Winter is Coming (or, you know, it's already here). Register for the closed beta by January 12th! While Game of Thrones: Kingsroad looks promising, it will undoubtedly face intense scrutiny. Although the peak of Game of Thrones' popularity may have passed, a dedicated fanbase eagerly awaits a ground-level experience.
Monetization and long-term support will be crucial factors. However, if Netmarble succeeds, they could deliver the Game of Thrones experience fans have long desired.
