Akupara Games and Tmesis Studio's latest adventure game, Universe for Sale, is now available. Following successes like The Darkside Detective series and Zoeti, Akupara Games delivers another intriguing title.
Is the Universe Actually for Sale?
The game unfolds on a Jupiter space station, a bizarre marketplace shrouded in acid rain and mystery. Orangutans with surprising wit work the docks, while cultists barter flesh for enlightenment. The universe itself is for sale, thanks to Lila, a woman with the unusual ability to create universes from her hand.
The game begins in a mining colony's shantytown, where you play as the Master, a skeletal cultist from the Cult of Detachment. Exploring the ramshackle colony, filled with quirky shops, leads you to Honin's Tea House, Lila's shop. Unraveling the mystery involves switching perspectives between Lila and the Master.
Playing as Lila allows you to create universes in a mini-game, mixing ingredients to produce visually stunning worlds. The Master's journey delves into the Cult of Detachment's philosophies and encounters with the Church of Many Gods.
The narrative unfolds gradually, prompting speculation about the overarching plot. Each character, whether human, skeletal, or robotic, possesses a unique story, enriching the detailed world.
