Napoleon Bonaparte, a staple of the *Civilization* franchise, returns in *Civilization 7* (*Civ 7*), but unlocking him requires a few extra steps. There are actually two versions of Napoleon available: the Emperor and the Revolutionary.

How to Get Napoleon, Emperor

The Emperor Napoleon persona is unlocked by creating (or linking) a 2K account. Follow these simple steps:

1. Visit portal.2k.com. Log in to your existing account or create a new one.
2. Link your 2K account to your gaming platform via Connections -> Account Overview.

That's it! The Emperor Napoleon specializes in commerce and military strength, boasting the unique ability "Empereur des Francais": "Gain a Unique Sanction, Continental System, which reduces the Trade Route limit of the targeted Leader to all other Leaders by 1, causes a massive Relationship penalty, and costs more to reject. +8 Gold per Age for every Leader you are Unfriendly or Hostile with. Can reject Endeavors for free."

His agenda, "Napoleonic Code," favors players with the smallest standing army and dislikes those with the largest standing navy.

How to Get Napoleon, Revolutionary

Prefer a different Napoleon? Unlock the Revolutionary persona by simply having previously played Civilization 6. Link your 2K account to Civ 7, ensuring your Civ 6 account is also linked. Upon launching Civ 7, the Revolutionary Napoleon will be available. Note: You don't need to have played Civ 6 on the same platform as Civ 7.

The Revolutionary Napoleon is a cultural/militaristic leader with the ability "La Grande Armee": "+1 Movement for all Land Units. Defeating an enemy Unit provides Culture equal to 50% of its Combat Strength."

His agenda, "Culture from Conquest," disfavors leaders with many alliances but rewards those with the highest Culture Per Turn.
