World of Warcraft Marks Return of Timewalking Event

World of Warcraft's Extended Timewalking Extravaganza: Seven Weeks of Turbulent Timeways!

World of Warcraft players are in for a treat! The Turbulent Timeways event is back, and this time it's even bigger. For seven weeks, starting now and running until February 24th, players can journey through various Timewalking expansions, earning exciting rewards along the way. This includes new items, a wealth of Timewarped Badges, and a significant experience boost.

This extended event builds upon the successful five-week run from September 2023. Players will once again have the opportunity to earn the stackable Mastery of Timeways buff, providing a 20% experience bonus after completing four Timewalking dungeons. This time, however, the rewards are even more enticing.

The Timewalking Tour:

The seven-week event covers a different Timewalking expansion each week, starting with Mists of Pandaria (January 7-13) and concluding with Cataclysm (February 18-24). The full schedule is as follows:

• January 7-13: Mists of Pandaria
• January 14-20: Warlords of Draenor
• January 21-27: Legion
• January 28-February 3: Classic
• February 4-10: The Burning Crusade
• February 11-17: Wrath of the Lich King
• February 18-24: Cataclysm

Rewards and Achievements:

Complete the Mastery of Timeways buff in five out of the seven weeks to unlock the "Mastery of the Turbulent Timeways 2" achievement and claim the adorable Timely Buzzbee mount! Each expansion's Timewalking vendor boasts new permanent additions, including Season of Discovery transmogs at the Classic vendor. Plus, the Sandy Shalewing pet, previously unavailable, is making a return. And for added excitement, the Cache of Nerubian Treasures now awards Heroic gear during the event.

Looking Ahead:

With the recent 20th-anniversary event's 11 weeks of Timewalking and this extended Turbulent Timeways, players will have enjoyed 18 consecutive weeks of Timewalking! The February 24th end date for Turbulent Timeways also hints at future plans. Given Blizzard's typical release schedule, this strongly suggests that World of Warcraft Patch 11.1, Undermined, will likely launch on February 25th. Combined with the ongoing Plunderstorm event and the upcoming War Within update, World of Warcraft is starting 2025 with a powerful lineup of content.
