Tech enthusiasts continue to explore the potential of screen adaptations using modern technology, with their sights now set on the Witcher series. A captivating concept trailer for a Witcher 3: Wild Hunt adaptation, styled after 1980s films, has been unveiled by YouTube channel Sora AI.
This project leverages neural network technology to bring to life familiar faces from the Witcher universe, including Geralt, Yennefer, Ciri, Triss Merigold, Regis, Dijkstra, Priscilla, and many more. While there are subtle stylistic differences, the characters remain easily recognizable.
Recently, the developers of The Witcher 3 hinted at a planned addition: Triss's wedding. Originally intended for Novigrad, the "Ashen Marriage" quest would have seen Triss pursuing a relationship with Castello and planning their nuptials. Geralt's role would involve assisting with wedding preparations, including ridding the canals of monsters, procuring alcohol, and selecting a wedding gift.
Interestingly, Triss's reaction depends on the gift chosen. Less elaborate gifts receive a lukewarm response, whereas a memory rose – a familiar item from The Witcher 2 – elicits a much stronger emotional reaction.
