Although Ys Memoire: The Oath in Felghana is a remake of Ys 3 and continues the saga of the franchise, Gyalva is a new addition not seen in the original. Gyalva employs a variety of attacks that, while straightforward, can rapidly deplete your health. During the battle, Gyalva flies around the bridge, often dislodging sections with its fiery assaults.

To prepare adequately for this fight, it's wise to enhance Adol's capabilities significantly. Aim to reach at least Level 21 and upgrade your gear. This preparation won't feel like a grind if you've been diligent about defeating smaller enemies along the way.

Spinning Attacks

Gyalva employs two types of spinning attacks. The first involves flying over a segment of the bridge, causing the affected plates to spin upwards. The second is a direct pass over the entire bridge, flipping all the plates. Both attacks can be devastating if you're underleveled.

To evade the first attack, quickly move to the unaffected side of the bridge. For the second, your safest bet is to retreat to one of the bridge's ends. Staying near one side allows you to safely reach the edge when needed.

Avoid lingering at the bridge's very end to prevent being cornered. Instead, maneuver around the bridge to strike Gyalva and then retreat to the nearest ledge.

Fire Blast

Gyalva launches a fireball onto the bridge, which propels the plates upward. While this can damage you, it also creates an opportunity to land several hits on Gyalva.

Bursting Torches

Torches along the bridge sporadically emit bursts of flame, with fireballs passing between them. Contact with these flames will harm you. Although it's challenging to predict when these torches will activate, you can safely navigate the area once a burst has subsided.
