Tute, a highly favored card game in Spain, has also captured the hearts of many in Latin America. This engaging game can be enjoyed by 2 to 5 players, with the option for four players to form teams of two.
The objective of Tute is to be the first player or team to reach a predetermined number of points. It utilizes a Spanish deck consisting of forty cards.
In Tute, the card hierarchy from highest to lowest is as follows: Ace (11 points), 3 (10 points), King (4 points), Knight (3 points), Jack (2 points), followed by 7, 6, 5, 4, and 2 (white cards, which carry no points).
The game begins with the first card played setting the suit for the round. Players must follow suit if possible. If a player cannot follow suit, they have the freedom to play any card, including trump cards. The trick is won by the highest trump card played; if no trump cards are involved, the trick goes to the highest card of the original suit.
To maximize your score, keep an eye out for opportunities to "Sing 20" and "Sing 40." Singing Tute can lead to victory!
