Russian scanwords are a truly unique global phenomenon. Nowhere else will you find such a wealth of literary, humorous, and culturally relevant questions integrated into standard crossword puzzles. The Russian people have a deep appreciation for language, valuing words as precious commodities.

Our app offers a diverse range of scanwords—from easy to challenging—featuring photographs and question types including classic clues, associative prompts ("one word" or "one word, two words"), similar to Elder Fur's hints. Each magazine includes an English-Russian scanword and a "holey" scanword (the reason for this name will become apparent). A friendly character from our family greets you on every page. Join the fun!

All scanwords are free. This is an annual collection: 52-53 issues with 20 scanwords each. The entire annual collection requires approximately 50 MB of phone storage—images are small, and text is optimized for minimal space usage. We value your phone's storage.

No internet connection is needed to solve puzzles, provided the scanwords are already downloaded. A new issue is released every Friday. If notifications are enabled, you'll receive a weekly reminder at 12:00 PM local time. New issues download automatically upon app launch and will not repeat if successful. You can also individually download or delete magazines, or download all magazines at once via Settings.

Core features, including access to all scanwords, are free, supported by advertising. Each page displays one small banner ad, and an interstitial ad appears before each scanword. The solving process is never interrupted. Our advertiser also provides free hints in exchange for viewing their videos.

Readers can optionally: a) disable advertising permanently; b) purchase a subscription to remove ads and unlock unlimited hints; or c) collect hints in bulk. These options are available in the "Shop".

Privacy Policy:

1) We use the standard Android advertising identifier solely for ad placement and performance analysis. Association of this identifier with personally identifiable information or persistent device identifiers (such as SSAID, MAC address, or IMEI) requires your explicit consent.
