We're not Sketchbook, Photoshop, Procreate, or Infinite Painter. We are ArtClash.

ArtClash is designed to inspire daily drawing, sketching, and cartooning practice.

The first game is complete, but more are coming soon. You can freehand draw, select a topic or series of topics, apply optional constraints (like time limits, color palettes, or canvas size), create your artwork, and earn points when others correctly guess your drawing!

This is a solo project, created for my wife and me to practice daily and encourage others to do the same.

Current Features:

• Paint, sketch, and blend
• Import images for reference or as a base layer
• Select topics, apply constraints, draw, and earn points for each correct guess
• Six difficulty levels for topics—from single words to sets of up to five words (nouns, verbs, places, time periods)
• Choose from three constraints for bonus points: time, colors, or canvas size
• Free draw and share your artwork
• NSFW flag for content filtering

Current Early Access Issues/Bugs:

• UI: The Unity UI is currently suboptimal. A planned switch to XAML should improve responsiveness and aesthetics.
• Performance: On lower-end devices, keep canvases under 1024x1024. The brush engine, while GPU-accelerated, slows significantly with large canvases and small brushes. We are exploring other engines for performance optimization.

Upcoming Features:

• Additional games (starting with a drawing-based "telephone" game)
• Enhanced social features (customizable avatars, comments, friend system, following)
• Improved UI and faster brush engine (addressing the issues listed above)
• Marquee selection and transformation tools
• Expanded brush library (support for custom brush textures)
• Advanced layer system (locking transparent pixels, masking, etc.)
• Developer communication system (feature requests, bug reports, voting)
• Moderation system (community moderation of flagged content)
• Community topic and constraint submissions
• Long-term goals: full image editing, animation, scripting, and game/storyboard prototyping.

Due to performance limitations with large textures and the current lack of full editing features, ArtClash is not intended as a comprehensive image editing suite. Its focus is on social competition and artistic encouragement.
