The cult-classic mobile game, 868-Hack, is poised for a comeback with a crowdfunding campaign for its sequel, 868-Back. This roguelike digital dungeon crawler lets players experience the thrill of hacking cyberpunk mainframes.
Cyber warfare often falls short of its glamorous portrayal, but 868-Hack successfully captures the essence of hacking. Similar to the acclaimed PC game Uplink, it masterfully balances accessibility and challenge in its depiction of programming and information warfare. The original 868-Hack effectively delivered on its premise, and its sequel promises even more.
868-Back builds upon its predecessor, offering an expanded world, revamped and reimagined programs (Progs), and enhanced visuals and audio. Players will once again chain together Progs to execute complex actions, reminiscent of real-world programming.
Conquer the digital landscape
868-Hack's gritty art style and cyberpunk aesthetic are undeniably appealing. While crowdfunding inherently carries risk, we wholeheartedly support developer Michael Brough's endeavor to bring 868-Back to fruition. We eagerly anticipate the sequel and wish him the best in this exciting venture.
