DLSS 4 Arrives with Multi-Frame Tech

Nvidia Unveils RTX 50 Series GPUs with DLSS 4 and Multi-Frame Generation at CES 2025

Nvidia's CES 2025 keynote showcased the upcoming RTX 50 series GPUs, featuring groundbreaking DLSS 4 technology with Multi-Frame Generation, boosting FPS significantly. Initially exclusive to the RTX 50 series, this enhancement will power enhanced visuals in 75 games at launch, including highly anticipated titles like Cyberpunk 2077, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, and Marvel Rivals.

The RTX 50 series, codenamed Blackwell, builds upon the Ada Lovelace architecture, refining DLSS and introducing Multi-Frame Generation for dramatically increased frame rates. The flagship RTX 5090, boasting 32GB of GDDR7 memory, will retail at $1999. Other models include the RTX 5080 ($999), RTX 5070 Ti ($749), and RTX 5070 ($549).

Nvidia demonstrated the impact of DLSS 4 and Multi-Frame Generation using Cyberpunk 2077. With ray tracing enabled and DLSS/Multi-Frame Generation disabled, the RTX 5090 achieved sub-30 FPS. Activating these features propelled the frame rate to an impressive 236 FPS.

While the exact January release date remains unannounced, Nvidia confirmed that enhanced DLSS features (Frame Generation, Ray Reconstruction, DLAA) will also benefit older RTX 40 series cards via future driver updates.
