The latest State of Play has unveiled an exhilarating lineup of upcoming PS5 games, showcasing a future filled with thrilling titles. From the highly anticipated sequel to Returnal, Saros, by Housemarque, to new entries in beloved franchises like Borderlands 4 and Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater, there's something for every gamer to look forward to.
Among the standout announcements were Days Gone Remastered, offering enhanced gameplay and new modes, and Onimusha: Way of the Sword, which provided a fresh look at its protagonist and gameplay. Fans of action-packed games were treated to surprises like Warriors: Abyss, a roguelite spin-off of Dynasty Warriors that's available today, and Tides of Annihilation, a narrative-driven action-adventure set in a modern London overtaken by otherworldly forces.
The event also highlighted Shinobi: Art of Vengeance, a new entry in the classic franchise, and WWE 2K25, which introduced its social multiplayer hub, The Island. For racing enthusiasts, Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds promises to deliver exciting races across different worlds.
In addition to game reveals, release dates were confirmed for several titles. Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater is set to launch on August 28, 2025, while Borderlands 4 will follow on September 23, 2025. Days Gone Remastered will be available on April 25, 2025, and Shinobi: Art of Vengeance is slated for August 29, 2025.
Other notable announcements included Lies of P: Overture, a prequel DLC expansion, and Stellar Blade, which will feature a crossover with Goddess of Victory: Nikke. PlayStation Plus members were also given a sneak peek at February 2025's game catalog, featuring titles like Star Wars Jedi: Survivor and TopSpin 2K25.
