Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 Canceled: Subpoena & Controversy

Activists have targeted Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 following the discovery of in-game subpoenas, sparking a campaign to cancel the project. The controversy gained momentum after reports surfaced online about the game's ban in Saudi Arabia, fueling speculation about its content and alleged "progressive" themes. This led to online attacks against the developers, with attempts to boycott Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 and discourage player support.

Warhorse Studios' PR manager, Tobias Stolz-Zwilling, responded to the controversy, urging the public to rely on official information and not believe everything found online. He confirmed that review codes would be distributed in the coming days following the game's December gold master status, anticipating a four-week lead-up to release to allow streamers and reviewers sufficient time for previews and reviews. Interestingly, initial "final previews" based on review code access are expected just a week later.
