Mortal Kombat 1 released Conan the Barbarian gameplay trailer

Mortal Kombat 1 has unveiled two consecutive character showcases. Yesterday's esports trailer offered a glimpse of the T-1000, but the Terminator isn't the next DLC fighter. Conan the Barbarian takes center stage, launching next week for premium edition owners, with today's release of his gameplay trailer.

Conan's gameplay demonstrates a classic powerhouse archetype. His attacks appear devastating, though his lack of agility and speed is evident. This might be offset by his extended sword reach. Showdowns against characters like General Shao, Omni-Man, and Homelander would be particularly intriguing.

While visually reminiscent of Arnold Schwarzenegger, Conan's fatality lacks the spectacular impact of some others in MK1. The acid-drowning finish feels somewhat underwhelming. However, compelling gameplay often outweighs a single finishing move, and Conan promises an enjoyable fighting experience.

Premium edition owners gain early access on Tuesday, while all others must wait until January 28th.
