Sony's popular PS1, PS2, PS3, and PS4 PS5 console themes are disappearing! The limited-time offer ends January 31, 2025. However, Sony assures fans these nostalgic themes will return in the coming months, following overwhelmingly positive feedback.
"We appreciate the incredible response to the classic PlayStation, PS2, PS3, and PS4 console themes, departing tomorrow," Sony announced. "The enthusiastic reception has prompted us to work on bringing back these special designs soon."

Unfortunately, there's a downside. Sony clarified that no further themes are planned for the PS5. Their statement reads:
"While we're not developing additional themes, we're thrilled to continue celebrating PlayStation's history with you."
This announcement has disappointed many fans. The PS5's lack of themes, a staple feature in previous consoles, remains a point of contention. This statement suggests it won't change during this console generation.
These anniversary themes, released on December 3, 2024, to mark PlayStation's 30th anniversary, allowed PS5 users to customize their home screens and menus with iconic designs and sounds from past PlayStation consoles. The PS1 theme featured the original console's image, the PS2 its menu design, the PS3 its wave background, and the PS4 a similar wave pattern. Each theme incorporated the respective console's signature audio effects.
