The Sims 1 and 2 Return to PC at Last Today via The Sims 25th Birthday Bundle

Celebrate 25 Years of The Sims with Legacy Collections!

EA and Maxis are commemorating The Sims' 25th anniversary with a fantastic surprise: The Sims 1 and The Sims 2 are back on PC! Available now are The Sims: Legacy Collection and The Sims 2: Legacy Collection, individually or bundled together for $40 in The Sims 25th Birthday Bundle.

These comprehensive collections include nearly all expansion and stuff packs for both games. The Sims 2: Legacy Collection notably omits the 2008 IKEA Home Stuff pack, but otherwise offers complete content. Bonus content sweetens the deal, with The Sims 1 receiving a Throwback Fit Kit and The Sims 2 a Grunge Revival Kit.

This marks the first time in over a decade that both games have been readily accessible digitally. The Sims 1, originally only available on disc, was previously unavailable without tracking down a physical copy and ensuring compatibility with modern systems. While The Sims 2 was briefly available through an Ultimate Collection on Origin, this was discontinued. Now, all four main Sims titles are easily obtainable digitally.

Our original reviews awarded The Sims 1 a 9.5/10 and The Sims 2 an 8.5/10. Despite the series' evolution, the originals retain their charm, offering a simpler, yet challenging and nostalgic experience.
