Celebrate 25 Years of The Sims with Legacy Collections!

EA and Maxis are commemorating The Sims' 25th anniversary with a fantastic surprise: The Sims 1 and The Sims 2 are back on PC! Available now are The Sims: Legacy Collection and The Sims 2: Legacy Collection, individually or bundled together for $40 in The Sims 25th Birthday Bundle.

These comprehensive collections include nearly all expansion and stuff packs for both games. The Sims 2: Legacy Collection notably omits the 2008 IKEA Home Stuff pack, but otherwise offers complete content. Bonus content sweetens the deal, with The Sims 1 receiving a Throwback Fit Kit and The Sims 2 a Grunge Revival Kit.

PlayThis marks the first time in over a decade that both games have been readily accessible digitally. The Sims 1, originally only available on disc, was previously unavailable without tracking down a physical copy and ensuring compatibility with modern systems. While The Sims 2 was briefly available through an Ultimate Collection on Origin, this was discontinued. Now, all four main Sims titles are easily obtainable digitally.

Our original reviews awarded The Sims 1 a 9.5/10 and The Sims 2 an 8.5/10. Despite the series' evolution, the originals retain their charm, offering a simpler, yet challenging and nostalgic experience.

The Sims: Legacy Collection and The Sims 2: Legacy Collection are available now on Steam, the Epic Games Store, and the EA app.
