A Quarter-Century of Fun: Events and Freebies

The Sims is marking its 25th anniversary with a plethora of in-game gifts, a massive livestream, and the triumphant comeback of The Sims 1 and The Sims 2 on PC. Kevin Gibson, The Sims Production Director, expressed gratitude to the dedicated players who have been instrumental in the franchise's success over the past two and a half decades. The Return of Beloved Classics: The Sims 1 and The Sims 2

Relive the magic of the very first Sims experiences! To mark this special occasion, The Sims 1 and The Sims 2, including all their DLC, are now available for purchase on Steam and the EA store, individually or as a special Birthday Bundle. This release addresses a long-standing request from Simmers, making these classic titles accessible to a new generation of players and resolving compatibility issues with modern systems.

In-Game Celebrations: The Sims 4 and The Sims FreePlay

The Sims 4's "Blast From The Past" event introduces iconic items from previous titles, including retro furniture, clothing, and decor. New items will be released weekly over four weeks, featuring fun additions like neon inflatable chairs, a three-tiered cake, and a light-up dance floor.

The Sims FreePlay's Birthday Update transports players back to the 2000s with new Live Events ("The One with the Coffee Shop" and "Reality Island"), a new velour tracksuit, 25 days of daily gifts, and a Social Town museum showcasing the evolution of The Sims.
