Street Fighter 6 Unveiled: Mai Shiranui Heats Up the Battle

Street Fighter 6 welcomes a new fighter, reigniting player interest! Capcom's hit fighting game, boasting 4.4 million copies sold by December 31st, 2024, has added Mai Shiranui from the Fatal Fury series.

This addition, the third character in the second season, has significantly boosted Street Fighter 6's popularity. Steam's peak concurrent player count surged past 63,000 on Mai's release day—a record high since May 2024, surpassing the previous peak of 24-27,000.

Mai is available to Battle Pass owners. World Tour mode allows players to build relationships with Mai, learn her moves, and then put their skills to the test in Battle Hub. A second costume, inspired by her appearance in Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves, has also been released.

Battle Hub temporarily features Professor Woshige, a celebrated fighting game developer, as a guest character until March 10th. New Master League ranks and rewards have also been introduced.
