Short Circuit Studios, known for charming titles like Teeny Tiny Trains, Teeny Tiny Town, and Tiny Connections, is venturing into darker territory with their upcoming roguelike strategy game, Townsfolk, launching April 3rd. This departure sees players leading a colonial expedition, tasked by the Crown with ensuring the survival and prosperity of their settlement. Maintaining food supplies, gold reserves, faith, and production levels within acceptable parameters is paramount.

However, the untamed wilderness presents numerous challenges. Wild animals, unpredictable disasters, and difficult moral choices constantly threaten the colony's stability. Forgetting to pay tithes to the Crown is also a recipe for disaster.

While their previous games were characterized by a quaint and charming aesthetic, Townsfolk embraces a darker, more challenging experience.
