Zenless Zone Zero Event Preview Revealed for 1.5 Update

Zenless Zone Zero Version 1.5 Leak Hints at Fall Guys-Style Platformer Event

A recent leak suggests Zenless Zone Zero's Version 1.5 update will include a new event featuring a multiplayer platformer game mode, similar to Fall Guys. This temporary event, potentially titled "Grand Marcel," is expected to arrive alongside the update's launch in late January.

Version 1.4, released in early December, introduced two new playable characters and an S-Rank Bangboo, along with two permanent battle-focused modes. However, Zenless Zone Zero has a history of incorporating temporary events with unique gameplay mechanics. The current "Bangboo vs Ethereal" event, for instance, offers a tower defense experience.

Leaker Palito shared screenshots showcasing stages strikingly reminiscent of Fall Guys. While the leak confirms a multiplayer platformer, it remains unclear whether players will control their usual characters or Bangboo within this temporary mode. The event is anticipated to offer rewards like Polychromes, alongside the rumored additional free pulls for Version 1.5.

This isn't HoYoverse's first foray into platformer events. Honkai Impact 3rd's 6.1 update in 2022 featured a similar "Midnight Chronicle" event. Players in that event used chibi versions of Honkai characters, suggesting a similar approach might be used in Zenless Zone Zero, potentially featuring the popular Bangboo.

Version 1.5, slated for January 22nd, will also introduce the highly anticipated Astra Yao and her companion Evelyn. Previous leaks also indicated the possibility of Nicole's first character skin and a new Agent Story for Ellen.
