Finding Your Serial Number

Entering Your Code

1. Press the pre-determined button (usually 1) repeatedly until the first digit of the code appears on the screen.
2. Repeat this process for buttons 2, 3, and 4, entering each digit sequentially.
3. Confirm the code. The confirm button varies by model (e.g., 5 for Ford 6000CD, * for Sony, > for many VW, Audi, Skoda, and Seat units).

Troubleshooting: SAFE/LOCKED/WAIT/ERROR Messages

Most radios have a security system to prevent brute-force code entry. After three incorrect attempts, your radio may become blocked.

• Ford: "WAIT" – leave the radio on for 30 minutes. "LOCKED" or "LOCKED10" – hold button 6 for ten seconds (you may get three more attempts). "LOCKED13" – requires dealer assistance.
• VW/Volkswagen: "SAFE" or "SAFE2" – leave the unit on for 60 minutes.
