Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE) announces Hideaki Nishino as its sole CEO, effective April 1, 2025. This follows a recent press release also revealing significant changes in Sony's overall leadership.

The press release confirms Hiroki Totoki's promotion to President and CEO of Sony Corporation, succeeding Kenichiro Yoshida. Lin Tao assumes the role of CFO.

Last year, SIE leadership was divided between Nishino and Hermen Hulst following Jim Ryan's retirement. Nishino, previously SVP of the platform experience group, now leads all of SIE and the platform business group. Hulst continues as head of PlayStation Studios.

Nishino, a Sony employee since 2000, expressed his honor in accepting the CEO position. He emphasized the importance of technology and creativity in delivering engaging entertainment experiences and expanding the PlayStation community through IP expansion and technological innovation. He also acknowledged Hulst's continued contributions as CEO of the Studio Business Group.
