In Avowed, after completing the "Message from Afar" quest (rescuing the Ambassador and defeating the bear boss), a mysterious voice presents you with a choice: accept or reject its power. This guide analyzes the ramifications of each decision.
It's generally recommended to accept the Voice's power.
Rejecting the offer grants you the "Godlike's Will" ability, providing an extra ability point for the Fighter, Ranger, or Wizard skill trees. While beneficial, it's not as impactful as the alternative.
Accepting grants the "Dream Touch" ability. This superior ability heals and revives nearby allies while inflicting damage over time on specific enemy types (Delemgan, Dreamthralls, and Vessels). It costs 30 Essence and has a 90-second cooldown. This power is unique and cannot be obtained elsewhere in the game.
Currently, there's no evidence suggesting major long-term consequences from either choice. The decision appears to be part of a broader narrative arc with the entity. This guide will be updated if further information emerges.
While rejecting the offer provides a minor benefit, accepting the Voice's power in Avowed yields a significantly more potent and unique ability. The choice, however, doesn't seem to drastically alter the game's overall progression.
